Open Day

The Club held a most successful Open Day on Saturday 5th May.  We had a gratifying number of potential members come down to have a look at the Club and its facilities.  If you weren’t able to be there but are still interested, it’s not too late!  Phone the Club Secretary (Trevor Green) on 01622 859642 and he will be happy to show you around and discuss membership and coaching options.

President’s v Captains’ Match

The 2018 season got under way on Saturday 21st April with the traditional President’s v Captains’ match.  The weather was glorious and the green bowled beautifully.  To top it all there was a great turnout of members and a good time was had by all.  Unfortunately, our President was not well enough to participate, but cunningly delegated his role to the Chairman of the Management Committee.  He then proceeded to ‘encourage’ his side from a sedentary position!

All to no avail, however.  Although the President’s side won three of the five rinks, the Captains’ side won the day with an overall score of 106-92.
